Four federal states are serious: now also quarantined within Germany – News Inland

THAT’S a real Corona travel hammer!

Anyone traveling within Germany can no longer be sure. Because the following also applies here in some regions: Quarantine obligation!

Now for a simple explanation: what was previously only valid for foreign countries and only for travel within or outside risk areas is now also available within German borders.

As can be seen from a Bundestag document, which BILD is available, four federal states tighten the rules for travelers: Berlin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rhineland-Palatinate and Schleswig-Holstein.

▶ ︎ Means: Anyone entering from a risk area within Germany must be quarantined!

According to the Infection Protection Ordinance (as of October 1, 2020), there is an obligation to quarantine at home if a person enters from a risk area within Germany or travels from there to the respective federal state .

BUT: Classification as a risk area is regulated differently in state regulations:

▶ ︎ In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Y Rhineland-Palatinate An area within Germany is automatically considered a risk area as long as the rate of new coronavirus infections exceeds 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, according to publications from the Robert Koch Institute.

This now also includes the Berlin-Mitte district.

▶ ︎ In Schleswig-Holstein Y Sedan In addition to the increase in the number of new infections, an express classification is required by the Ministry of Health / the responsible administration of the Senate.

In Schleswig-Holstein, the Berlin-Mitte district is currently classified as a risk zone. As of September 24, 2020, the Berlin Senate Administration has not named any risk zones in the interior of Germany.

What that means in concrete terms is not yet completely clear. However, if the rules actually go into effect and are enforced, then it looks bad with travel from the affected areas.
