A man had to be pronounced dead as a result of a violent dispute in the center of Hannover.

As announced by the police and the prosecutor on Thursday, the 48-year-old man dated a 49-year-old woman in central Hanover on Wednesday night when they came across those allegedly responsible.

According to initial findings, there was a dispute as a result of which the 48-year-old man was seriously injured.

The ambulance service, which was immediately called in, revived him, but the man’s brain death was initially determined at the hospital.

In the evening, the man was pronounced dead and an investigation was launched, he said in an additional message. A pastor had to take care of his companion.

According to the prosecutor, the investigators initially did not know the exact circumstances and the type of violent physical confrontation, they were looking for witnesses.

That night, a 19-year-old became an alleged perpetrator. He has been provisionally detained and is in police custody.

A blood sample was taken. According to witness statements, there is still an alleged male perpetrator in his 20s and a female alleged offender in his 25s who are being wanted. Another man is wanted as a witness.
