Shooting early Monday night! As BZ learned, passersby heard gunshots at the corner of Kulmer Strasse and Goebenstrasse and then reported it to the police. Officers found a man seriously injured.

According to information from BZ, three shots should have been fired from a larger group of people around 5:30 pm Several people had previously clashed. A 24-year-old victim has been rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries.

At night, a man was arrested according to witnesses. According to the police, it was unclear whether he was the alleged perpetrator.

When the shots were fired, some 200 meters from the crime scene, the young people demonstrated against the evacuation of the “Potse” youth center on Potsdamer Strasse.

At BZ’s request, a police spokesman confirmed that the intersection area was also the crime scene. It is not yet clear where exactly the shots were fired and how the man was injured. According to the RBB “Abendschau”, police officers are said to have found a machete in a bush near the crime scene.

The injured will be airlifted to a hospital. Several ambulances were at the scene. The homicide squad has taken over the investigation and the crime scene will be investigated that night. Police officers question witnesses.
