The rockers started on Saturday afternoon in Biesdorf in East Berlin and then drove their heavy machines towards Großer Stern in Berlin-Tiergarten.

The many participants in the parade, including from other motorcycle clubs, caused traffic jams in several places. “Otherwise, all is quiet so far,” police said on request Saturday afternoon. The organizers had registered 1500 participants.

A demonstration was planned at the Brandenburg Gate in the early afternoon, followed by a rockers party in Biesdorf (Marzahn-Hellersdorf).

Under a law that has been in effect since 2017, the Hells Angels can no longer display club insignia like the winged skull in public. The reason for the regulation was that certain rock clubs may offer “cover for various forms of serious and organized crime.”

Therefore, the court dismissed three actions by groups and members of the “Bandidos”, the “Hells Angels” and “Gremium MC” against the strict “ban on robes” of 2017.

If an association is prohibited, its symbols such as flags, insignia, uniforms, slogans and forms of greeting cannot be used in public or distributed in the media.
