During the operation, the pilot of a police helicopter was blinded with a laser, for which the dangerous interference in air traffic was also investigated.

Shortly before midnight, according to police, there were two spontaneous rallies against the detention of protesters, each with around 30 participants. It was reported from Leipzig-Lindenau that a patrol car was burning in the fenced area of ​​the police administration office.

Around 1:30 am, several people stopped a streetcar and sprayed it with graffiti. They built barricades and set fire to garbage cans and a shopping cart. The roughly 150 people involved withdrew to adjacent side streets after emergency services arrived, police said.

The police helicopter was in the air until the early hours of the morning to provide live images of the construction of barricades at various locations in Connewitz, as well as fires and road traffic disruptions.
