In an accident at a festival site in Ribnitz-Damgarten in the Vorpommern-Rügen district, twelve people were injured on Friday, six of them seriously. According to police, they were all sitting in a trailer pulled by a car. The trailer overturned around a curve.

Six people between the ages of 20 and 27 had to be transferred to hospitals with serious injuries. Six others were slightly injured Friday night. The 27-year-old driver suffered a scare. Police are now investigating alleged negligent personal injury.

According to the organizers, the “Culture of Love” festival near the Pütnitz airfield should be about “mindfulness” and “more togetherness despite the distance”. Participants must be able to “relax” with electronic music and “recharge their batteries in nature.” The festival lasts until Sunday. Tickets are sold out.

Big events allowed again
