Crown trouble in Bavaria again! After the mega collapse in mid-August, when returnees on vacation who tested positive were not informed, now there are delays again.

This was announced by the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety. In the case of samples taken at airports – with a view to transmission within 48 hours – from August 29, “increasing residues were recognized in the transmission of findings,” said a spokeswoman.

It is not yet clear how many people are affected. The state office also did not announce the length of the delays.

There is also a report of Bavarian broadcasting according to problems at the motorway test stations and at the Munich central station.

The BR reported multiple testimonials from people who had to wait up to a week for their findings after a test, instead of the promised 48 hours.

The reason for the airport delay was “an interface problem in data processing” at the responsible service provider Ecolog, the State Health Office said. According to the state office, Ecolog emphasized that the transmission of findings is currently limited, but continuous. The service provider promised to fix the problems before noon on Friday.

► There have already been delays at several test sites in Bavaria in the past. In mid-August it emerged that tens of thousands of people had waited for days for the results of their corona tests. More than 900 people who tested positive only found out about their infection much later – 46 at all.
