Berlin wedding: pastor dejected during mass

meIn Berlin, a Catholic priest was run over by a stranger on Sunday during mass. According to police, citing testimony, the man got up from his seat during the service, spat in the church and made his way to the presbytery, where he struck the 61-year-old pastor with his fist. He had been hostile to religion.

Brother hit with Bible

After beating the pastor, the attacker tore several pages from the Bible that was on the altar. According to the descriptions, the pastor’s brother wanted to help the wounded man. The attacker then hit him with the Bible. Later, the perpetrator fled the church without being recognized.

The pastor suffered minor head injuries and his brother only suffered minor injuries. Both could be treated on the spot by the rescue service.
