Union flight stopped, AfD again in double digits

The mood is changing: In Germany’s current ARD trend, government parties have to accept losses after the peak of polls in recent weeks. Two parties win in the opposition.
FAccording to a new poll, the Union has skyrocketed in recent weeks, while AfD and FDP are winning voters. According to Germany’s new ARD trend, the CDU / CSU currently has 38 percent of the vote.
The Union thus loses one percentage point compared to the previous week. The AfD and FDP, on the other hand, can add up to one percentage point each: the AfD would get ten percent, the FDP six percent, if the Bundestag election were to take place next Sunday.
According to information, the Greens remain the second strongest at 18 percent. 15 percent of voters would opt for the SPD and, like the Union, would lose one percentage point. The SPD-Union government coalition would get 53 percent of the vote. On the left, seven percent of voters would cross the line, one percentage point less than the week before.
More than half of the people with voting rights said they wanted to continue with the measures currently in force to contain the crown pandemic. Accordingly, 56 percent of citizens are critical of the additional standardization steps. On the other hand, 40 percent of the respondents are in favor of facilitating the measures in the coming weeks. Three percent answered “I don’t know”, while one percent said nothing. Especially supporters of the FDP (63 percent) and AfD (61 percent) are in favor of a new opening.
Immediately before easing was decided last week, 54 percent of citizens had opted for easing, 41 percent wanted to stick to the measures, he said.
The survey was conducted by Infratest Dimap on behalf of the ARD “morning magazine”. On May 12 and 13, 1,074 voters were surveyed. The fault tolerance ranges from 1.4 (with a shared value of five percent) to 3.1 (with a shared value of 50 percent) percentage points.
