Apple and its mobile phone partners are now selling the iPhone SE in Germany. Delivery of the devices is scheduled to begin next Friday, April 24, according to all providers. Apple sells the iPhone SE without a contract, costs almost 480 euros from the manufacturer, with 64 GB of storage space, and thus also undermines the almost three-year-old iPhone 8, which Apple had previously maintained as an entry-level model in your wallet. For a surcharge of 50 euros, Apple doubles the storage space of the iPhone SE to 128 GB. The 256 GB version costs just under 650 euros.

Mobile operators sell the new model in combination with a contract of at least two years. Depending on the chosen rate, it is offered from 1 euro, for example on Telekom with MagentaMobil S: the monthly costs amount to 50 or 60 euros. At Vodafone it is managed with a contract of 50 euros, O2 distributes the price of the device in 24 monthly installments, which are combined with the rate.
iPhone SE practically iPhone 8s
The new iPhone SE is largely identical in construction to the iPhone 8, but is equipped with Apple’s current A13 chip, plus RAM and modern radio interfaces at the iPhone 11 level, including WLAN 6 and Gigabit LTE. Unlike the iPhone 8, it dispenses with a pressure sensitive screen (3D Touch) and, instead, like all other current iPhone models, it is based on the successor “Haptic Touch”, in which you must press the screen a little more instead of doing it more firmly.
Apple’s previous iPhone SE manufacturing year of 2016 was a silent success: The model was difficult to obtain for weeks after its launch because Apple was apparently surprised by the success. It was removed from the Apple program in 2018, but has so far been compatible with software updates.
