After the violent death of a 38-year-old man on Wednesday in Lübeck, the district court issued a remand order against a 57-year-old Lübeck at the request of the prosecutor. The prosecutor said he was being investigated for homicide. The man is said to have shot the other man after he entered his home, the prosecutor and police said together. So far, the suspect has been silent on the allegations.

Mortally wounded with three shots in the back

According to the current state of the investigation, the 38-year-old man climbs with a companion through the basement window of a seemingly empty house. When, surprisingly, they found a resident on the second floor, they fled. The companion managed to escape unscathed. However, the 38-year-old man was shot three times in the back and collapsed shortly after leaving the house.

Suspect arrested without resistance

The seriously injured Lübeck was found by residents on Adolfstrasse in the St. Gertrud district early Wednesday morning. Shortly after, he died in hospital. That night the police were able to arrest the suspect on the roof of his house without resistance, he had a pistol at hand. Two other weapons were found in the house: a revolver and a long pistol. The 57-year-old has the necessary gun license for all three.

Artillery cleaning service finds a hand grenade

In addition to the three weapons, the police also found boxes of ammunition, so the ammunition disposal service had to move on Thursday morning. The experts got another hand grenade.
