2020 American Elections: Joe Biden Before Victory, People In Cities Celebrate

Joe Biden’s lead grows by the hour and Donald Trump has almost no chance of catching up with his opponent. On the streets of America’s big cities, where most voters traditionally voted Democrats, people celebrated the election results Saturday night.

Singing:
“You will lose your job!”

Hundreds of people gathered for a “farewell party for President Trump” in Washington Square Park, New York.

Protester with megaphone:
“I want everyone to know: tonight we are celebrating. But tomorrow we will fight, damn it!”

Demonstrantin
“Trump should go, he has caused our country so much damage, corruption, violence and hatred, he just had to go. And tonight I think that will happen. He will try to pull all the strings he can to get there.” He is really trying to run away from all the demands that await him after his tenure. So Don Trump, goodbye! Goodbye Don!

That night, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden delivered a speech ensuring victory in the state of Delaware. Hundreds had come to hear him from afar.

“The numbers tell a clear and compelling story: we will have this race win.”

Biden promised to be a president for all Americans.

“We have to leave anger and demonization behind. It is time for us as a nation to come together and heal ourselves. It won’t be easy, but we have to try.

Also in Philadelphia, in the highly competitive and possibly election-winning state of Pennsylvania, Democratic supporters celebrated late into the night. Donald Trump supporters, however, continue to demonstrate.

Protesters
“Stop the scam!”

They believe in Trump’s repeated story about the great electoral fraud. But there is no evidence for that yet.
