Nobody on the plane obeyed the rules of the crown?
16 corona cases, nearly 200 people quarantined – that’s the result of a single flight from the Greek island of Zakynthos to Cardiff in Wales. And all this apparently because no one on the plane obeyed the rules, the BBC reports, citing several passengers. Therefore, the TUI airline is now under fire.

Seven potentially contagious passengers on board
“The whole plane was full of ‘Covidiots’ and an inadequate crew who couldn’t care less,” Stephanie Whitfield, who was on board the flight, told the BBC. “The flight was a disaster. The guy next to me had his mask around his neck. Instead of getting a warning, he even got a free drink because he knew a member of the crew.”
According to UK health officials, seven people on the August 25 flight were potentially contagious. Some of them reported mild discomfort and symptoms during the flight. 193 passengers and crew are now in a two-week quarantine.

The fact that there have only been 16 positive cases so far is probably just luck, if you believe the descriptions from inside the plane. “A lot of people took off their masks during the flight and walked on the plane. When the plane landed, many immediately took off their masks,” Stephanie Whitfield said. The crew did not reprimand anyone.

Were passengers informed of the corona risk too late?
According to the BBC, the passengers were also informed too late about a possible risk of infection on their flight. Passenger Lee Evans told the broadcaster that he received an email a week after the quarantined flight. He no longer knows how many people he has met in the meantime. Another passenger even reports that he only found out about the Corona cases on board through the media.
TUI now wants to investigate incidents on board
That is why criticism of the TUI airline is getting louder. One was concerned about reports of the plane, he said in a company statement, which is available to the BBC. “Our crew is trained to the highest standards. We have launched a thorough investigation because the safety risks were not reported during the flight.”
