In the Northeim district, the seven-day incidence jumped to 106.2. One of the reasons is the numerous people infected by the crown in the Bad Gandersheim faith center.
A total of 252 employees, residents and visitors to the center were evaluated after two people showed symptoms of a corona infection. According to information from NDR Lower Saxony, all the test results are already available: 123 infections were detected. The district limits contacts
By Wednesday, the district had already passed the critical value of 50 infections per 100,000 residents in a week. The district tightened the rules of the crown, especially in Bad Gandersheim, which was particularly affected. In the district, only a maximum of ten people can gather on private property, either indoors or outdoors. Up to 25 people are allowed in public spaces or restaurants. In both cases, the participants must maintain the minimum distance.
The following also applies to Bad Gandersheim:
- Prohibition of recreational and club sports in public and private sports facilities and halls. These will be closed.
- A maximum of six people for meetings and gatherings in public spaces.
- A maximum of six people per table or piece of furniture in catering establishments.
- Mask requirement when visiting a museum, exhibition or gallery.
- Mask requirement in meetings in churches, mosques, synagogues and in meetings of other religious communities; singing is prohibited.
If the seven-day incidence in the Northeim district falls below the cutoff value, the district will announce it in a new blanket decree, he said. The new rules in Bad Gandersheim initially apply until November 10.
