On Saturday afternoon (October 17, 2020) a demonstration by the bourgeois specter “No AfD in Henstedt-Ulzburg” took place in front of the community center in Henstedt-Ulzburg on the occasion of an AFD event.
The registered demonstration, which began at 2:30 pm, was attended by 200 participants, exclusively from the middle class spectrum, on the esplanade of the community center. The meeting began with several speeches. In addition, a smaller group of “Grandmothers against the right” participated in the event. The protesters used banners, whistles and drums.
When the AFD event opened, around 50 to 60 people from the left scene (Antifa) arrived at the event’s approach area. This group of people held an undisclosed spontaneous demonstration. There was harassment and violence against visitors to the AFD event and police officers.
The AFD event ended around 6:30 pm during which time the demonstration also ended.
Protesters from the right and left clashed outside the venue. A person in the scene on the left was seriously injured in a traffic accident and was taken to hospital. As a result, there were acts of aggression against those involved and the police, forcing the police to fire a warning shot.
The incident was reported to the Kiel prosecutor, according to which the police, together with an accident expert, are investigating the driver of the accident for the crime of “dangerous interference with road traffic”. The defendant was released after initial questioning at the office.
