Ford Performance teases the Monster Mustang Mach-E

If you like monster electric vehicles that vaporize rubber with ease, Ford Performance wants you to listen. Literally.

The Ford division that deals with everything related to high performance released a short video in a tweet (below) triggering the reveal of a battery powered beast. However, instead of showing us a cryptic picture of the real car, the footage is just a drone pavement pavement that has been painted with spinning tires. The text of the tweet simply says: “7/21”.

So how do we know this involves an electric vehicle? The soundtrack. Click play on the embedded tweet below and you’ll hear a powerful symphony in incredible key. Check it out.

Hell, right? Well then how do we know this sound is being generated by a Ford Mustang Mach-E monster? Call it an educated guess.

Last week, we told you about a heavily modified Mach-E that appears in a guerilla promotional video making donuts and making a lot of sounds quite similar to the previous ones. We calculate two plus two, in this case, it is equal to the Ford electric gonzo crossover.

To know if we are wrong (we are not), tune in InsideEVs July 21, which is next Tuesday, and we’ll have the scoop waiting for you. If you want a little more information before that, you can listen to the InsideEVs podcast from last Friday, where she talked about the car and the video at some length.

One thing about this monster that we are pretty sure of is that it will be even more rounded and produce more tire smoke than the last electric race car Ford showed us, the impressive Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 a few months ago. You have been warned.
