Samaparr, 1 hour agoWhy do you hate fast charging so much? Heat kills lithium, right? Well let me show you … more“These fast charging cells use HUGE separators to avoid this, which is why they tend to be smaller (4500mah instead of 5000mah).”

I would take a 5000mAh battery with a 25W load over a 4500mAh battery with a 200W load any day of the week. I don’t want ultra-fast charging, but I don’t hate it either, but by the time they need to make the battery smaller to allow for this kind of fast charging, it’s time to stop.

I also like how it dismisses everything I said because I have had the device for 13 months.

I guess mastery and hundreds of hours of research mean nothing because “Kek” said so.

[deleted post]Or well, instead of “energy loss”, a transfer of energy, which still means that the energy is lost or transformed into something else.

There you go. You still have only 1 year in that career. Once it starts to break down, it will deflate faster than normal.

They should have standardized 120-watt charging with other phones first … before releasing the 200-watt Chargomg technology.

Amy, 1 hour agoIt is not a myth. but not only the manufacturers do not care. but they see it as a benefit. them or … moreTrue. OEMs can make a lot of money by replacing batteries.
Chinese OEMs don’t care because they know that in China there are a lot of people who buy a new phone every 12 months, even every 8 months.

Anonymous, 1 hour agoI don’t know if I have a xiaomi phone close to 3 years old, which is a lower end of the middle class, but … moreIf your phone supports 18W, you can use a 25, 30, 45 or 100W charger.
But it still acts like an 18W.
Hardware and software are made to allow 18W load.
The loading speed does not increase.

Now you can fry an egg in the next 200w charging phone.

They are just finding a way to connect the phone to a 230V AC outlet without an adapter!

Well hello my electricity bills

  • For you

Imagine a day where you put your phone on a wireless charging pad for a second and then you get a fully charged phone.

kek, 1 hour ago5W is more than enough if you charge overnight. I usually use 7.5W-10W, which is fast … moreI don’t know if I have a xiaomi phone that is almost 3 years old, which is a lower end of the middle class, but I have an 18W fast charger and I have used a fast charger that should be around 23W at most and in 3 years I don’t see any difference. Maybe half a day less on a full charge, since I only charge 2 times a week. Usually every 4 days or so when the phone drops below 18% and starts giving me notifications that turn on save mode

Now I love Xiaomi ….. but there is a point where you start to go too far

Why do you hate fast charging so much?

Heat kills lithium, right?

Well, let me show you something.
The 20w load in 2017 would heat the cell up to around 45c, sometimes more.
In 2020, Xiaomi managed (on average) 120w charging up to 45c.

This is really amazing! Personally, I prefer to charge 65w below 40c, but these high charging speeds REALLY aren’t that bad.

“Waaaa, fire hazard waaaa” No, don’t be stupid. Batteries explode due to the high current when dendrites form in the separator, which in turn creates a short circuit. These fast charging cells use HUGE separators to avoid this, which is why they tend to be smaller (4500mah instead of 5000mah).

“Waaaa, my battery will only last 2 months waaaaa”

I have charged at 65w daily, sometimes multiple times a day for 13 months and my battery is still at 98% capacity. I have tested it with an external device. Originally 4500mah and now at 4400mah. I don’t let my battery go below 20% or above 80%.

Take it as you wish and stop following their troll and hater advice in the comment section. Learn the science.
