African countries have received more than 29.1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine both from the COVAX facility and through bilateral agreements outside of COVAX, the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said recently. from Africa).

Under the agreement, Johnson & Johnson will provide UA members with access to 220 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, with the option to purchase an additional 180 million doses.

The vaccine supplies will be produced at the Aspen Biopharama plant in South Africa.
