(WXYZ) – The United States reached another grim milestone in the Coronavirus pandemic during the month of December.
More than 77,500 people lost their lives in the last month of 2020, according to Johns Hopkins University. The virus has killed more than 346,000 people in the United States.
The Michigan State COVID-19 Control Panel for December reports more than 1,800 deaths as of December 27. The new COVID-19 data will be released on January 2.
More healthcare workers in the state are getting down to business as the launch of the vaccine continues. Some of them share on social media the reason why they wanted to get vaccinated.
Vaccine distribution will go first to front-line health workers, then to residents and staff at long-term care facilities. The vaccines will then be distributed to essential workers and high-risk individuals.
