Kim Kardashian West came under fire on Tuesday after she posted a slew of photos from her 40th birthday getaway, and while her husband Kanye West was believed not to be there, it appears she actually made a belated appearance.
Kardashian posted a series of photos from a private island, where she surprised her family and her inner circle of friends, although her husband, the 43-year-old rapper, was not seen in the photos.
However, a new report from Page Six confirms that West did, in fact, miss the trip, although he was not there on his actual birthday last Wednesday.
Late Appearance: Kim Kardashian West was attacked Tuesday after she posted a slew of photos from her 40th birthday getaway, and while her husband Kanye West was believed not to be there, it appears she actually made a belated appearance.
The report claimed that West couldn’t be there on his birthday because of “work,” though yes, he “sent him a sentimental surprise that day.”
Sources added that he, too, surprised her by joining the group on the last two days of the trip.
West himself has not posted any photos of the island getaway, and he was not seen in any of the photos posted by Kim or his family of the trip.

Kim took to Instagram Tuesday to share photos from the trip, with attendees including her sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, her brother Rob Kardashian and her half-sister Kendall Jenner.
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner was also spotted on the island, along with her longtime boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
Kourtney’s ex and her children’s father, Scott Disick, was also seen on the island with his son Mason.

Others seen on the island in photos from the getaway include Tristan Thompson, Chris Appleton, La La Anthony, and Tracy Romulus, to name a few.
Kardashian and her family were seen arriving back in Los Angeles on Tuesday, before sharing the photos on Instagram later that day, causing quite a stir.
