The daytime television show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ is set to return to television, and will debut its 18th season on Monday (local time), September 21.

A statement issued by the representative of Ellen DeGeneres confirming the same was obtained by a news portal on Tuesday (local time).

It will be filmed from the studio with no audience in the studio, likely due to health restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic.

“I can’t wait to get back to work and get back to our studio. And yes, let’s talk about it,” 62-year-old TV show host DeGeneres said in the statement, apparently referring to allegations that the show allegedly a toxic workplace and allegations of sexual misconduct against the producers, the portal reported.

While the ‘Finding Dory’ star has also faced allegations of rude behavior, the show has undergone a massive shakeup recently when executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman “parted ways” with the show.

Additionally, Tiffany Haddish “will join DeGeneres in the studio and help kick off the new season,” according to the show’s host representative.

Hollywood stars such as American actor Alec Baldwin, supermodel Chrissy Teigen and actor Kerry Washington will also appear during the show’s first week, while Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Adam Sandler and Orlando Bloom will appear “throughout the month.”

The shows recently named as co-executive producer Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, will serve as guest host for multiple episodes.

The new season promises to offer “uplifting, inspiring and fun viewers experiences.”

Claims of the poor work environment include rumors of a “no eye contact” rule by DeGeneres, which he has reportedly denied and called “insane.”

DeGeneres has offered multiple apologies to his staff as stories about his alleged mistreatment continue to surface. (AND ME)
