The next update, the date of which has not yet been declared, will include a number of improvements and additions.
An exciting new game mode is Empowered Demon in campaign mode. In this mode, when an Assassin falls before a demon, that demon is “Reinforced and transported to another player’s game to fight again.“A player who kills one of those Empowered Demons will get health, ammo, and XP bonus.
Furthermore, the update will also bring some much-needed fixes for the single player campaign like “Expanded demon tutorials, running vertically in the water and adjusting toxic damage while swimming.”
You will also see some changes in Battlemode to improve the experience.
Change in score
All in all, you can expect a ton of improvements to the already amazing Doom Eternal. You can read all about the update in detail right here in the id Software blog post.
However, there is one disappointment that will surely be noticed in the DLC. Recent reports confirmed that id Software and Doom Eternal songwriter Mick Gordon had a fight. Unfortunately, they were unable to resolve their differences, and therefore we will not be enjoying Gordon’s rough score in the DLC.
Other than that, everything else is set to bring us a ton of new content to entertain us for a few more weeks. Watch this space for an update on the DLC release date.
