Apple iOS 14.2 Update: Apple Releases iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2: 100 New Emojis, 8 New Wallpapers, and Everything These Updates Offer

Apple has released a new software update for iPhone Y iPad users. The company has pushed iOS 14.2 Y iPadOS 14.2 for all supported devices.
These updates bring not only security enhancements, but also new features, some of which are specific to the latest iPhone 12 series and next-gen iPad models: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (4th generation) and iPad 11-inch Pro (2nd generation) and iPad. Air (4th generation).
Both iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 come with support for more than 100 new emojis including animals, food, faces, household objects and others, along with eight new wallpapers that support the device’s light and dark modes.
Specifically for AirPods, these two updates are claimed to deliver optimized battery charging to reduce the rate of battery aging by reducing the time AirPods spend fully charged.
As for bug fixes, these updates fix the issue of camera viewfinder appearing black when started, keyboard on lock screen missing taps when trying to enter passcode, minor issues with Photos app, and weather and more.

* Headphone audio level notifications to alert you when the audio level could affect your hearing

* Intercom support with HomePod and HomePod mini using iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and CarPlay
* Ability to connect HomePod to Apple TV 4K for stereo, surround sound and Dolby Atmos audio
* Option to provide statistics on exposure notifications, without identifying it, to participating public health authorities
This release also fixes the following issues:
* Apps may be out of order at the base of the home screen
* The camera’s viewfinder may appear black when it starts
* The keyboard on the lock screen may lose touches when trying to enter the passcode
* Reminders may appear by default in times past
* Photo widget may not display content
* Weather widget could display high temperature in Celsius when set to Fahrenheit
* The description of the next hour precipitation graph in Weather could incorrectly indicate when the precipitation stops
* Voice memo recordings are interrupted by incoming calls
* Screen may be black while playing Netflix videos
* Apple Cash may not send or receive money when prompted through Siri
* Apple Watch app may quit unexpectedly when opened
* For some users, syncing of GPS training routes or health data between Apple Watch and iPhone is prevented
* Audio is incorrectly labeled “Won’t Play” in CarPlay panel
* It could prevent devices from charging wirelessly
* Exposure notifications are disabled when restoring iPhone from iCloud Backup or transferring data to a new iPhone using iPhone migration
