If you’ve been struggling with a new set of glitches since the release of iOS 14 and WatchOS 7 in mid-September, Apple has some potential fixes for you to try.
In a recently published support article, Apple runs through a list of problems that users of new operating system updates have faced in recent weeks. These include missing or inaccurate data on health apps on iOS and WatchOS, those same apps that won’t charge, and increased battery drain on iPhone and Apple Watch.
In total, there are seven bulleted issues listed in the support article. Apple notes that users experiencing two or more of those problems should try a rather complicated set of steps that could lead to a solution. Keep in mind that the process includes a system reset for your iPhone, so prepare for that.
Apple asks users to unpair their phone and look, then create an iCloud backup, specifically including their health data. Once done, you will want to clear all the settings Y content on your iPhone, after which you can restore your iPhone and Apple Watch data backup.
According to Apple, following these steps should “prevent future data loss.” You can find the details of each step in much more detail in the support article.
