Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War The multiplayer mode is now on the horizon and that means certain details are starting to be clarified. While Treyarch announced a ton of information in its reveal stream, it didn’t dig too deep into the stats. That is where Call of Duty YouTubers come into play. Some creators were invited to the pre-launch alpha capture event and were able to collect statistics on specific aspects of the multiplayer. One of the most important tests performed is in regards to the time to kill (TTK) of the new title. This is what was discovered.

the Black Ops Cold War TTK

With any new Call of Duty game, one of the first questions fans have concerns kill time. As the name suggests, this stat refers to how long it takes to kill an enemy in Black Ops Cold War.

Traditionally, this has been a point of great concern for many fans in the community. If the developers do the TTK too fast, the enemies can drop you before you even know what happened. However, at the other end of the spectrum, if the TTK is too long, it becomes frustrating to kill opponents.

Modern war and Black ops 4 they were on opposite sides of this spectrum. In BO4, the TTK was too long thanks to the 150 health. Conversely, Modern war it was simply too fast and did not allow players to escape from firefights.

Well it seems in Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch has found a sweet spot. While there are still 150 health, it takes fewer bullets to kill than in BO4. Also, there are headshot multiplications in BOCW, bringing the TTK closer to Modern war ‘range of s. YouTuber XclusiveAce I did some extensive testing on this topic and drew up the following graph.

To break down the graph, it looks like the base TTK at Black Ops Cold War is closer to that of BO4. However, when you include the x1.3-4 headshot multiplier in the game, this TTK is significantly reduced. This seems like a great balance for the game, but we still don’t know how it plays out in the game. Of course, we’ll find out when the open beta goes live on October 8.
