If you’ve ever received a really long voice message on WhatsApp that could move a little faster, WhatsApp will obviously listen to you.

Accordingly, the app is testing various playback speeds on iOS and Android WABetaInfo. Spot the feature in the outlet in a new update Apple’s testflight beta program And Google beta program In recent days. According to WABetaInfo, three playback speeds will be available on iOS and Android: 1.0x, 1.5x and 2.0x. The facility is currently under development and is not available to the general public.

In its report on the Android version, the outlet states that users will be able to change the playback speed of voice message by tapping on the speed label. You can check out the screenshot of what will appear below the desired feature.

Like other developments, it’s not clear if this will ever make it into the mainstream. No set of releases.

Now, I don’t know about all of you, but I have a very difficult time listening to these long voice messages from my friends. Most likely, some friends who like this message will send me a message that is four, five and even 15 minutes long. By the time I finish listening, many of the topics they mentioned are hard to remember. FYI, a good trick is responding via WhatsApp text while you are listening so you don’t forget all the details of this message.

This does not mean that I am a judge of people who send long voice messages. I can’t, because I do too. In fact, I sometimes joke with my best friends (who are the only ones on this earth who are willing to listen to this 12 minute voicemail message from me) that I don’t send them voice messages, I send them Podcast. For them it will inevitably ask why I don’t just call my friends, it’s a matter of time.

So what do I think when I see the idea of WhatsApp for new playback speed? I mean I wouldn’t say it’s a bad idea. Surely there will be some people who find it useful if it ever gets published. But if I get lost while listening to these long voice messages at normal playback speeds, I can’t even imagine what it would be like if I increased that speed. And like, well, I’m not sure if I’m laughing or annoyed if my friends speed up playback on my messages (although I won’t blame them, my messages are too long).

Hey, everyone has their own playback speed.
