After criticism rained down for Zara Home due to the sale of scourers at very high prices, on social networks an image that showed that the same brand sold ecological bowls.
The ecological bowls they are really totumas or huacales, which are commonly used as a container of plant origin. Totumas are the fruit of the totumo or taparo tree, which occurs in tropical areas of America.
However, according to the check carried out by Colombia Check, in reality the product is not being sold by Zara neither in Colombia nor in Mexico. It was in the latter country that the sale of scourers for 299 Mexican pesos (a little more than 50 thousand Colombian pesos) was announced.
