The young people lived in the Compostela neighborhood, where they had been reported as missing by their relatives a few hours before when they left their homes.

The bodies appeared on the edge of the towns of Usme and San Cristóbal, in the south of Bogotá, and according to Colonel Luis Benavides, southern operational commander of the Police, told Noticias Caracol, the murderers did everything possible to ensure that their victims will not appear:

“It is an area with very difficult access, it is much higher than where the invasion ends. Apart from that they doubled the gorge and advanced about 80 meters to commit the act.

According to the news, the uniformed men had to walk approximately 30 minutes through the forest in the area with limited vision, since they only had the light provided by the police helicopter, to find them on the cliff.

The authorities’ versions indicate that the victims were forcibly taken to the top of the mountain, in the Entre Nubes park, and after being killed they were thrown towards the bottom of the ravine; That is why the help of firefighters was necessary, which lasted approximately four hours to rescue the bodies.

Once they found the first two bodies, they realized that they had been “killed with a firearm and a knife,” added the officer. The youths were between 24 and 27 years old; they also “had coup d’état and signs of torture,” added RCN Radio.

Hours later, on the morning of this Monday, November 23, a third body, of a man of approximately 26 years, was found in the same abyss, when the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office arrived at the place to collect more evidence to clarify the crime and identify those responsible, added Alert Bogotá.

Coronal Benavides told that media that as a preliminary hypothesis they have that “a fight between criminal gangs over issues related to micro-trafficking or the sale of illegal land” triggered the triple homicide.

These victims are in addition to other crimes that have been committed in November and the 834 murders that were registered in Bogotá until October 31, 2020, since homicide is precisely one of the crimes that has increased in the capital this year.

These are some images that Citytv broadcast of the operation of the authorities to find the bodies of the three victims, who did not exceed 30 years.
