Diógenes Orjuela, president of the Central Unitaria de los Trabajadores (CUT), on behalf of the workers’ unions and pensioners, delivered today the proposal with which they will arrive at the consultation table.

According to what was pointed out by the spokesmen of the labor unions, it is not a question of ending up affecting the generation of employment by employers with the minimum wage.

It is expected that in the coming weeks the The Ministry of Labor calls the negotiating table and the three parties: workers, businessmen and the government reach an agreement. In the event that no agreement is reached, the law mandates that the president be the one who by decree sets the minimum wage for next year.
