Two people, identified as Dilia Margarita Báez Angarita and Jairo Enrique Sánchez Díaz, would be posing as representatives of the firms Fit Forex, Fit Colombia, Forex Investment Team and Fit International Group to gain the trust of their victims and request a minimum investment of $ 20,000.
The two accused were sentenced by the Seventh specialized criminal court to 19 years, two months and eleven days in jail without benefit of house arrest or suspension of the sentence.
The results of the investigation show that, between March 1, 2004 and February 3, 2009, Báez and Sánchez got the money from 120 people through the firm Fit Internacional Group Corp, which was in their name.
The deception consisted of promising investors a return of between 1.5% and 3.5% in the Forex market.
But nevertheless, Neither of the two citizens had the necessary permits to trade in Forex or the authorization of the National Futures Association to receive money.

The victims noted that they were persuaded to make such investments while playing golf at a renowned club in the city.
