Before the CAI of Villa Luz, where Ordóñez Bermúdez was taken in handcuffs after receiving electric shocks, was vandalized on Wednesday night, the experts managed to take photos and videos inside the place, and collected DNA samples.

People close to the investigation indicated that these elements are intended to determine if the site was the scene of violence against the man arrested minutes before. This scientific evidence would be contrasted with the statements of the uniformed men who were at the site and the testimonies of various witnesses.
Likewise, the investigators, among them experts in forensic techniques and led by a prosecutor from the Human Rights Directorate, wait for the results of the autopsy performed by Legal Medicine to arrive, which will determine the causes of death and the findings found in the body. of the victim.

With this evidence, the Prosecutor’s Office will make the first substantive decisions in the investigation.
Due to the seriousness of the events, Attorney General Francisco Barbosa decided that the case should be handed over to an investigator who is an expert in Human Rights issues and not to a section of the Life Unit.
Likewise, it transpired that the head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office gave instructions for rapid progress in the investigation, and he pointed out that the process corresponds to the orbit of ordinary justice and not of military criminal justice.
