The commander of the Tunja Metropolitan Police, Colonel María Emma Caro, spoke about the case in which five members of a family were found dead inside his residence, located in the El Consuelo neighborhood of the capital of Boyacá.

Likewise, the officer stated that, at around 5 in the morning, the bodies were transferred to Forensic Medicine to carry out the respective autopsies and determine the causes of death.

“Four investigation teams are assembled, given the information that is collected in a preliminary way the father of the family is a teacher by profession and his wife studied and also did housework”, He assured.

Colonel Caro explained that, according to neighborhood work, the family had been seen for the last time “in the house, normal,” during the morning of Saturday, September 5.

It was later, after the family did not respond to an insistent knock on the door, that neighbors contacted the authorities and, in the early hours of Sunday, the tragic discovery occurred.

Finally, the commander of the Tunja Metropolitan Police stated that the Criminal Investigation Section, Sijín, is carrying out the investigation together with the Prosecutor’s Office to establish what happened.
