The artist met that woman in Barranquilla and herself, in the middle of the investigations into the murder of Rafael Orozco, acknowledged that they had an affair.

At least that is how El Tiempo recorded it in 1992, when it referred to one of the interviews that María Angélica Navarro had with the judge who at that time was handling the case of the death of the famous, on June 11, 1992, and that it is speculated Pablo Escobar avenged.

The noted lover of the interpreter of ‘Solo para ti’, whose wife was Clara Cabello, also spoke of José Reynaldo ‘el Nano’ Fiallo Jácome before the judge, the newspaper added.

“He said that on several occasions he went out to lunch and dance with José Reynaldo ‘el Nano’ Fiallo Jácome, always accompanied by friends. He indicated that Fiallo Jácome frequented his residence and his family ”, the publication reads, but there is no mention of her confirming that she had an affair with him.

However, ‘el Nano’ Fiallo was the man who was finally accused of ordering his bodyguard to kill Rafael Orozco, and the case was closed as a crime of passion, although the version also circulated that it had to do with a money laundering issue and the loss of 12 million dollars.

El Diario del Cesar assured that the then commander of the Atlantic Police, General Fabio Campos Silva, corroborated the version of a crime of passion, because, in the words of the portal: “The artist Rafael Orozco maintained relations with María Angélica Navarro, who once had a relationship with alias ‘the Nano’ Fiallo ”.

For its part, Caracol Televisión reported that when the death of the singer was ordered, Fiallo was not María Angélica Navarro’s boyfriend, but her ex.

“People say that [Orozco] He was threatened by an ex-partner of hers. On June 11, 1992, when he was 38 years old, after a long tour, Rafael was at a party with his daughters, when they knocked on the door and with nine shots silenced his voice forever. According to the investigations, it was a crime of passion and the mastermind of the murder was José Reinaldo Fiallo Jácome, alias ‘Nano’, ”the channel published.

Despite that, in the statements that El Tiempo collected, María Angélica Navarro said, according to that medium: “About the motives for the murder, she said she knew nothing, but indicated that she considered that it could not be of a passionate type.” However, the case was closed as a crime due to the aforementioned love triangle, for which this woman’s father was also detained, but then, due to lack of evidence, she was released.

This was explained in ‘It says about me’, where they also gave more details about Rafael Orozco’s relationship with his lover and other information about her.

“The couple met during the bazaar of a school in Barranquilla. She was 23 years old, married and separated. María Angélica was the wife of today’s senator of the Republic Armando Benedetti and together they had a daughter“They said in the program, whose recording circulates on YouTube and this data, as well as some old images of the singer’s lover, can be seen from minute 4:35:

Mario Espitia, who played ‘Teto’ Tello, also appears in the actors’ scenes, and there are those who believe that this man represented ‘el Nano’ Fiallo. However, in an interview with Pulzo, the famous one assured that his character did not exist in reality.
