The Twitter account of the Iberian round included the Ineos team rider among the favorites to wear the red shirt, which identifies the leader of the general classification.
However, next to his name a Colombian flag was placed, a detail before which Richard Carapaz he reacted with the following trill:
“Hey, Vuelta! I was born very close to Colombia, but I am Ecuadorian and I am very proud to show our tricolor ”.
In addition, next to the message he put the flag of his country so that there is no more room for doubt.
Carapaz will have in the Back to Spain as teammates to the ‘beetles’ Iván Ramiro Sosa and Brandon Rivera, as well as the British Christopher Froome, who with this career says goodbye to Ineos.
The competition will begin this Tuesday, October 20 and will feature 18 stages, most with a mountainous profile.
