In a peaceful area of Montería, a young woman – accompanied by her three-year-old daughter – prevented two motorcycle assailants from snatching the cell phone she carried in her hands as she walked down the street.
The complete scene was recorded in a camera of the house located right in front of where the events occurred.

It was 10:44 am on Thursday morning, when the young woman was leaving her home to shop at a nearby store. Two men on a motorbike blocked her path and the barbecue – with knife in hand – got out, threatened her and tried to take her cell phone.
The first reaction of the victim in the middle of the adrenaline was to run, while she left her daughter helpless in the middle of the road.

The assailant managed to take the phone from the woman and ran to get on the motorcycle, but the woman stopped him and managed to make him fall. The aggressor’s reaction was violent and with the knife he wounded his left arm, to try again to flee with his accomplice.
A few seconds passed since the robbery began, but the screams and the scene of struggle between the woman and her assailant immediately attracted attention. The solidarity of other motorcyclists, pedestrians and neighbors was crucial so that he did not suffer more than one injury.
The little three-year-old girl cried inconsolably after falling to the ground, while her mother continued the struggle with the criminals. However, another apparently familiar woman took the little girl in her arms and protected her.

The camera of a house located on the corner captured the entire robbery attempt. But it did not manage to capture the subsequent onslaught of those who helped the woman and brutally beat the alleged robber, who is seen in another video with head wounds and bloodied, but already protected by two police officers calling for reinforcements.
In his desperation to defend himself against the accusations, the captured -identified as Antony Ballesteros Lemus- was willing to expose his accomplice, who was driving the motorcycle and managed to escape when he saw the outcome of his robbery attempt.
The female victim, whose identity is kept by the authorities, was transferred to a health center to be treated due to the severity of the injury.
For his part, the aggressor was placed under the orders of a guarantee judge for the legalization of his capture. As proof of the crime, the video that recorded the moments was also sent.
