The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation announced in the last hours that prosecutors from the Bogotá Sectional Support Structure managed to impact two criminal networks called ‘Los K’ and ‘Fénix Admon’, accused of theft in the modalities of robbery and tickling in the articulated buses of the Transmilenio mass transport system.

In the operations, carried out by the Sijín judicial police, 12 people were captured, who were left with a security measure in a prison establishment.

‘The K’

This criminal group is accused of theft from people inside buses and different stations of the system, in the form of robbery, using knives to injure the victims who resisted.

After the investigations carried out, the authorities materialized the arrests of RJ García Caballero, JB Martínez Polo and JD Mora Winclar, who would be involved in at least six criminal events with an approximate amount of 10 million pesos.

In the concentrated hearings, the Prosecutor’s Office charged them with the crimes of qualified and aggravated theft and aggravated injuries, charges that were not accepted by any of the defendants.

‘Phoenix Admon’

This criminal network is accused of theft under the modality of tickling, inside the articles. The members of the gang committed crimes at the Transmilenio stations of CAD, Paloquemao, Ricaurte and Calle 75.

In addition, it was learned that, presumably, uniformed National Police assigned to the security of Transmilenio were part of this group and would be in charge of informing the rest of the gang when to enter a station, so that they would not encounter another criminal group.

Once inside, the men stood at the doors of the buses and took advantage of the tumults of people to commit thefts; then the stolen objects were handed over to a woman, who was always dressed as a nurse, to keep them.

The patrols, as established, supposedly received between $ 350,000 and $ 400,000, each time this group entered to rob the stations where they committed crimes.

The detained investigated were identified as: ES Orjuela Castillo, J. Millán Arias, MA Ruiz Fonseca, WA Bermúdez Ballesteros, Á. E. Angarita Roa, AS Orjuela Martin and LA Ardila Pinzón.

Likewise, the patrolmen YD Guzmán López and OO Olivera Vargas were captured and prosecuted. The alleged members of this group, apparently, are linked in approximately 20 criminal events, for which the prosecuting body charged them with the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, aggravated theft, bribery for giving or offering and own bribery. Neither accepted their responsibility.
