Caleña Angélica María Hernández Ramírez, captured and sent to jail

for allegedly inciting the purchase of food with marijuana through their social networks.

In one of those recordings, the woman promotes some chocolates and says the following: “We sell these chocolates, I love them. I eat half a chocolate and it is the equivalent of you having smoked the best quality.”

The authorities had been tracking her for several months not only the digital influencer, but also an organization known as Los Académicos, of which she would be part and would be made up of five more people.

“This investigation, which lasted 19 months, revealed that this structure was dedicated to commercializing cannabis food through schools and universities throughout the country,” said Colonel José Luis Ramírez, commander of the Quindío Police.

According to the researchers, it was possible to identify that this structure had created a whole line of products.
“It stimulated the consumption of foods with cannabis, such as gums, chocolates, cakes, among others, which, apparently, it sold through shipping and courier companies,” said Justino Hernández, director of the Attorney General’s Office in Quindío.

Following the investigation and evidence gathered by the authorities, the Valle del Cauca influencer was sent to jail.

“A judge with control of guarantees imposed the security measure in prison against Angélica María Hernández Ramírez, a well-known influencer who, through social networks, allegedly promoted (the products),” said the section director of the Prosecutor’s Office.

Through her Instagram account, Angélica defended herself and assured that she is innocent of all the crimes that are accused of her.

“Faced with the situation presented, of which I am innocent, our team of lawyers is working to come back stronger and give them all my energy and love,” he said.

The woman and the other five alleged members of the Academics, as well as another person, were prosecuted for conspiracy to commit aggravated crimes and trafficking, manufacture or carrying of narcotics
