In a video captured by two security cameras, the moment was recorded when a policeman shot and killed a thief who tried to rob him. The incident occurred at around 4 pm in the afternoon at the door of a store in the city of Rosario, Argentina.

In the recording it can be seen that the thieves approached the officer when he was waiting for them to open a spare parts store.
As observed, the criminals arrive on a motorcycle to the place. The person in the rear gets out to threaten the victim with a gun and snatch his suitcase.
Although he appears to be acting harmless, the policeman decides to draw his gun and point it at the thief as he was getting back on the motorcycle.

The assailant, surprised to see that he was threatening him, managed to point back at him. But the officer is more agile and shoots his partner who was riding the motorcycle multiple times.
In the following seconds, it is seen how the one who had gotten off previously flees with the suitcase. While his accomplice falls to the ground with the motorcycle still on and finally dies.
The video shows that the policeman stays there for a moment, in case the thieves decide to return. Seeing that there is no more danger, he puts his gun away and leaves.
In the video it is observed that the policeman shoots the driver of the motorcycle.
Gastón Ávila, the prosecutor investigating the incident, told ‘Infobae’ that the criminal who stole the backpack took a taxi and went to a nearby hospital, where he was finally arrested.
Ávila also said that the policeman had made a cash withdrawal at a bank in the city center before going to the premises, so it is suspected that the thieves had followed him for several blocks.
The money could be recovered thanks to the fact that the criminal, who had a gunshot wound, left the suitcase in the taxi in which he went to the hospital.

The monetary sum was around 85 thousand Argentine pesos (approximately 3 million Colombian pesos).
The policeman was acquitted of any charge because the prosecutor considered that he acted in “legitimate defense.”
With regard to the offender, the authorities determined that he is a 17-year-old young man who has already been placed at the disposal of a juvenile judge for “qualified robbery,” said the prosecutor for ‘Infobae’
