The rainy season is more intense than ever in Bogotá. On Tuesday afternoon, several floods were registered in different avenues of the country’s capital, while this Wednesday morning it ended with a hailstorm that affected several neighborhoods in the southwest.
It was the town of Kennedy that concentrated the heaviest rains in the last hours, which were accompanied by hail. Inhabitants of neighborhoods such as Castilla or El Tintal reported through their social networks that the streets or parks near their homes were dyed white.
For your fortune, the rains did not last long. Half an hour after the capital’s sky ‘broke’, the water stopped falling at that point in the city.
Everything seems to indicate that the rest of the capital of the country has not been affected by heavy rains on Wednesday, but for a few passing drizzles. In any case, the winter season is far from over and that is how the days in Bogotá and different parts of the country will continue for a couple of months.
Authorities have invited drivers to drive carefully along the avenues of Bogotá, now that many of them have significant concentrations of water. These are some videos of the hailstorm this Wednesday:
