“This is the most serious thing that has happened to Bogotá since the taking of the Palace of Justice”, affirms Claudia López, mayor of Bogotá, during a live broadcast on Facebook where she also stated that she gave the president and the attorney probative material in an hour and a half video showing policemen firing “indiscriminately”.
The mayor also read the names of each of the 11 people who have lost their lives in recent hours, apparently due to bullets or actions by the Police.

Claudia López also announced that this Sunday a reconciliation event will be organized “in order to have a city that lives without fear.”
