Valle reported 25 deaths from covid-19 and 395 new cases this Monday

In Valle del Cauca, 25 more citizens died from covid-19 and 395 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Monday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the fourth department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Atlántico, reached 46,944 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (21), El Cerrito (2), Jamundí and Restrepo (1).

At the national level, 7,230 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 615,168.

Of these, 134,741 remain active, while 459,475 outgrew the virus.

Throughout the country, 299 deaths from covid-19 were reported. Deaths due to the disease are already 19,663.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 297 of the deaths reported this Thursday occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Monday 25,349 PCR tests and 5277 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
