Valle reported 23 more deaths from covid-19 and 569 new cases this Saturday

In Valle del Cauca, 23 more citizens died from covid-19 and 569 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Saturday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the fourth department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Atlántico, reached 49,559 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (13), Palmira (5), Guacarí (2), Candelaria, Zarzal and Florida (1),

At the national level, 8,394 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 658,456.

Of these, 128,174 remain active, while 507,770 outgrew the virus.

Throughout the country, 268 deaths from covid-19 were reported. Deaths due to the disease are already 21,156.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 234 of these deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Saturday 24,609 PCR tests and 7,635 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
