Valle reported 10 deaths and 661 new cases this Saturday

In Valle del Cauca, 10 more citizens died from covid-19 and 661 contracted the disease, confirmed the Ministry of Health this Saturday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the fourth department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Atlántico, reached 56,837 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.

At the national level, 7,927 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 758,398.

Of these, 105,083 remain active, while 627,685 outgrew the virus.

Across the country, 186 deaths from covid-19 were reported. Deaths due to the disease are already 24,039.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 164 of the deaths reported this Saturday occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that in the last hours 22,386 PCR tests and 9,962 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
