Valle registers 1018 new cases of covid-19 and 23 deaths this Wednesday

In its most recent report on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Colombia, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported 1018 new infections of the virus in Valle del Cauca, bringing the total number of infections in the department since the arrival of the pandemic last March is already 80,962.

According to the highest health authority, in the last 24 hours 23 deaths were reported in the department, 14 of which occurred in Cali, two in Caicedonia and one in Florida, Yumbo, Jamundí, Cartago, La Cumbre, Palmira and Tuluá.

In addition to the 23 deaths registered in the department, patients in Bogotá, Santa Marta, Santander, Putumayo, Tolima, Sucre, Norte de Santander, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Barranquilla, Risaralda, Caldas, Huila, Guajira, Magdalena, Meta also lost their lives. , Boyacá, Guaviare, Bolívar, Cesar, Caquetá, Casanare, Quindío, Cauca, Meta and Cartagena, which add 188 deaths.

This Wednesday, 49,190 tests were processed -30,035 PCR and 19,155 antigens, which resulted in 8,717 new cases. The infections correspond to Antioquia (2109), Bogotá (1741), Valle (1018), Caldas (434), Santander (420), Huila (383), Cundinamarca (294), Quindío (294), Boyacá (288), Tolima (239), Norte de Santander (219), Casanare (163), Cauca (159), Nariño (128), Risaralda (123), Meta (118), Cartagena (115), Cesar (79), Barranquilla (73) , Atlántico (57), Córdoba (39), Santa Marta (38), Guaviare (33), Caquetá (29), Guajira (29), Putumayo (17), Magdalena (13), Arauca (11), Bolívar (11 ), San Andrés (11), Chocó (9), Vichada (9), Amazonas (6), Sucre (5) and Guainía (3).

So far, 1,041,935 cases have been detected in Colombia since the arrival of the pandemic -66,912 of which are still active-, 30,753 deaths and 941,874 recovered.

Bogotá remains at the head of the most affected territories with 314,687 cases, followed by Antioquia (162,149), Valle (80,962), Atlántico (71,124), Cundinamarca (41,376) and Santander (41,024).

Worldwide, 44,052,388 infections, 1,168,076 deaths and 29,889,942 recovered are reported.
