Valle del Cauca exceeded 120 thousand cases of covid-19 this Monday

With the 735 positive cases of covid-19 that were reported this Monday in Valle del Cauca, the department reached 120,087 infections since the beginning of the pandemic.

Regarding deaths, the Ministry of Health report reported 15 deaths, which were registered in Cali (8), El Cerrito (2) and one at a time in Geneva, Roldanillo, Tuluá, Pradera and Cartago.

Thus, the region has 3,835 deaths from diseases associated with the virus. Of these, 2,696 are from Cali, the municipality most affected in the Valley by the new coronavirus.

At the national level, Minsalud confirmed that 8742 new cases were registered in the country, which brings the general balance of infections to 1’434.516.

It should be mentioned that of these cases, 69,833 are active, while 1,321,469 have recovered from the virus.

With regard to the deceased, 142 were reported throughout the national territory this day. In total, 39,195 deaths from covid-19 have been recorded in Colombia.

It should be remembered that according to the WHO, 71,503,614 cases of the new coronavirus have been registered in the world, of which 1,612,833 have died.
