Valle del Cauca exceeded 100,000 cases of covid-19 this Friday

With the 942 positive cases of covid-19 that were reported this Friday, Valle del Cauca reached 100,009 infections since the beginning of the pandemic.

Regarding the deaths in the department due to the new coronavirus, Minsalud indicates that they occurred in Cali (16), Buga (6), Palmira (4), Cartago (2), Ansermanuevo (2) and one in Roldanillo, La Cumbre, Tuluá and Pradera.

With this report, the region already adds 3,622 deaths due to diseases related to covid-19.

On the national scene, the highest health authority pointed out that 7,954 new cases were confirmed this day, leaving the country with a general balance of 1,233,444.

It should be mentioned that of these cases only 57,132 are active, since the number of people recovered in Colombia is already 1,183,581.

With regard to deaths, the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health reports 168 new deaths, but highlights that 141 belong to previous days.

In total, according to the report, at the national level, 34,929 people have lost their lives due to this virus.

In addition, they detail that today 51,514 tests were processed: 30,923 PCR and 20,591 of antigens.

It should be remembered that worldwide, according to WHO figures, 1,360,879 people have died from the new coronavirus.

The world registers an accumulated 56,984,774 positive cases of covid-19.
