This Monday, February 15 the first doses of coronavirus vaccines will arrive in Colombia three days earlier than expected. This is the first 50,000 doses from the Pfizer factory in Europe. Next week another shipment will arrive, also from the same pharmaceutical company, until the more than 430,000 vaccines acquired in direct negotiation between the Government of Colombia and the German health company are completed.

The vaccines are already in Miami and will fly around 10:20 am local time in Florida, to land in Bogotá around 1:30 pm if the itinerary does not present unexpected delays. In this link you can follow live the flight that brings the first 50,000 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 that arrive in Colombia.

Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Santanderes will concentrate the largest number of doses of vaccines, this due to the percentage of health personnel who work in those regions caring for coronavirus patients on the front line.
