The former president and head of the Democratic Center, Álvaro Uribe, recalled this Wednesday a video of a demonstration of his followers in Cartagena four years ago, when former president Juan Manuel Santos led the first signing of the peace agreement with the FARC.

On September 26, 2016, in Cartagena, Santos and Timochenko, then leader of the ex-guerrilla, signed a first peace agreement, which later had adjustments and was signed, again, at the Colón Theater, in Bogotá.

To date, Uribe and his followers held a march in Cartagena in which they expressed their objections to the agreement with the ex-guerrilla, of which there was a video that was revived this Wednesday on the Twitter account of former President Uribe.

“We have to be very respectful with the Public Force. We are going to find an alternative route “Uribe is heard saying at a time when the Uribistas were looking for clear roads from the heroic city to develop their demonstration.

And when the protesters tell the ex-president that some authorities can interrupt their journey wherever they go, Uribe answers: “But it is not their fault, it is Santos’ fault, who is handing over the country to the Farc.

As is known, Uribism has been critical of some aspects of the peace agreement that was reached with the ex-guerrilla, which they have tried to reform in Congress without success.
