The senator Gustavo Petro made known that Alvaro Uribe Velez he desisted from continuing with the criminal action for slander against him.
Said legal action was filed by the former president Uribe in 2019 for various publications that Petro made on Twitter.
Uribe’s lawsuit against Petro for libel was filed in February of last year and advanced in the preliminary stage in the Supreme Court of Justice.
