To these proposals, Álvaro Uribe adds a proposal with which, according to him, the State would be more social and less bureaucratic.

Those ideas consist of reducing Congress to 30%, and that the payroll and the functioning of the State do not increase its cost above inflation, for 6 years.

With that proposal, says Uribe, the salary of the congressmen “it would decrease by not adjusting it, or for inflation, for 6 years“.

On the other hand, to the draft of the referendum to end the JEP and change justice, the former president adds that, thinking about the debt due to the pandemic, more taxes should be placed on the “wealthiest” and expand social benefits such as a pension bonus and social income.

In addition to publishing the document with the proposals, Uribe recorded a video in which he explains them, which is the one that appears below:

The former president points out that these proposals are not aimed at the private sector, and recalled that alternatives such as reducing working hours have already been proposed for these workers, without affecting the salary of employees, or the additional premium for those who, in addition to working , are studying.
